photofloods:
A highly incandescent tungsten lamp used as an artificial light source for indoor photography, television, etc. The brightness is obtained by operating with higher than normal current

umbrella reflector:
Umbrellas are used primarily as diffusers in photography. They are used either to diffuse light by reflective diffusion, or shoot-through diffusion.

softbox:
A soft box is a type of photographic lighting device, one of a number of photographic soft light devices.
flag or gobo:
physical stencil or template that is placed inside or in front of a light source, to control the shape of the emitted light.

barn doors:
Barn doors are light modifiers that shape and direct light.

1. What are the strengths of my photos?

The shadows are nice and crispy and the whites and black are nice and balanced

2. What are the weaknesses of my photos?

The focus on some is not perfect and some bits are a bit overexposed

3. Do they reflect the practice of Max Dupain? Why or why not?

yes because they have nice crisps lines with shaped shadows

4. How are my Photoshop skills? Do I still need to work on the photos?

my photoshop skills are fine but there is always room for improvement

5. What photos do I still need to take?

I have all my photos

6. How can I improve overall, the quality of my work for assessment?

putting more time into framing my shots and getting the composition perfect sooner

he likes the shadows and the blur of the background to create a depth of field. He also likes the sharp edges of shadows

he likes his photo because the shadow defines his face and makes it the subject. He finds that some of the photos have too much going on to just focus on the shadows.
